
On November 6, 2005, Brenna Sakas was announced thewinner of the 2006 Miss Arizona USA Pageant. Crowned at the historic Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix, Brenna immediately made the commitment to accomplish grea t things during her reign.
A volunteer for Habitat for Humanity since the age of 16, Brenna wanted to dedicate her year to fundraising, education, and raising awareness for the international non-profit organization. As the Outreach Coordinator for the Arizona State University Student Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, Brenna announced that she would focus on raising money to help the chapter co-sponsor their own home within the Valley of the Sun. However, Brenna wanted to be involved with the organization on an even greater scale. She was invited to join the Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun public relations and marketing committee where she assists in planning special events for the regional affiliate. 
In addition to working with Habitat for Humanity, Brenna has aided several other organizations including the Special Olympics, Heart to Heart Hustle/Pet-a-Rama, Kiwanis, Adopt-a-Pilot, Voices Take Flight, Trot for Tots, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Best Buddies, and Quarters for Kids.
As Miss Arizona USA, Brenna has been featured on several national television shows including The Today Show, Live! with Regis and Kelly, Fox Dayside, Inside Edition, Total Request Live, and The Early Show.
One of the highlights of Brenna’s year was when she was named a semi-finalist for the title of Miss USA 2006. She was seen by over nine million viewers in over 90 countries on April 21, 2006.
